Uganda, often referred to as the "Pearl of Africa," is a landlocked country located in East Africa, bordered by Kenya, South Sudan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, and Tanzania. Known for its stunning natural beauty, Uganda is home to diverse landscapes, including lush rainforests, expansive savannas, and the snow-capped Rwenzori Mountains. The country is famous for its rich biodiversity, particularly its population of endangered mountain gorillas, which can be observed in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Uganda is also the source of the Nile River, the longest river in the world, which begins its journey at Lake Victoria, Africa's largest lake. With a vibrant cultural heritage, Uganda is home to over 50 ethnic groups, each contributing to the nation's unique traditions, music, and dance. Despite challenges such as poverty and political instability, Uganda has made significant progress in recent years, with a growing economy and a youthful, dynamic population eager to shape the country's future.
